Our Mission, Vision and Values
Barshinger Creek Preservation Alliance is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit organization working to protect Barshinger Creek and preserve the former Red Lion Country Club property as a community green space and outdoor classroom in Red Lion, PA.
Our mission is twofold: to advocate for the permanent conservation of Barshinger Creek, the property at 150 Country Club Road, connecting wetlands and waterways, and to promote individual well-being and environmental literacy by creating dedicated space in our community to connect with nature.
Our vision is that of a nature preserve and outdoor classroom at 150 Country Club Road as the only acceptable future for this land in perpetuity. The historic and environmental character of this property presents an ideal opportunity to improve wellness through natural outdoor experiences, and to educate all people on the connection between water quality and wetlands ecology, the merits of conservation, the dangers of over-development, and the power of public involvement in local government to protect our natural resources.
BCPA values dedication, honesty, inclusivity and the grit that emboldens us to always step up as the underdog for the good of the land and the health of our water. We will always work in accordance with our organizational code of conduct and be guided to restore and protect our land and waterways now, and for future generations.
