We are a volunteer organization. Our Officers and Directors have made a commitment to protect the remaining Red Lion Country Club lands and the Barshinger Creek watershed.

Nikki Wever​

President
Nikki has been a resident of York County for most of her life. She is a born nature lover, and some of her favorite childhood memories were made on the Muddy Creek and the Susquehanna. Nikki is a York Catholic HS and York College graduate, with a BS in Biology. She spent over 10 years working with wild and domestic animals prior to joining her family’s Real Estate business. After her children were born, Nikki entered the medical and social services sectors, and earned her MS in Health Administration from St. Joseph University. She returned to Real Estate in 2014, developing her specialty in sustainable housing and land use, and serving as Marketing Coordinator for a top-producing Real Estate team. Nikki loves going on adventures with her family and friends, as well as volunteering with Junior Achievement, Lower Susquehanna Riverkeeper Assn. and on committees addressing homelessness and housing equity at her local Realtor Association.

B. Jean Klinedinst

Vice-President
Jean grew up in West York Borough. She graduated in 1982 from York Vo-Tech, majoring in Commercial Art, then attended Pennsylvania School of Art and Design in Marrietta, PA, majoring in commercial art and photography. Jean was the editor of “100% Rag,” her art school newspaper. She worked at several screen printing and graphics businesses in York and Lancaster. Jean bought her own house in Hellam as a young adult. Met her husband Steve and got married then had their son Skyler. Jean and her husband established their in-home business, Jestek Custom Graphics, in 1997, and moved to the Red Lion area in 2001. Jean home schooled her son, and co-led the IWLA Juniors youth group for a few years. She also helped form and served as organizational leader of a science and technology 4-H club for several years. Her family loves their little slice of heaven here in Red Lion. She enjoys helping others, photography, arts, crafts, gardening and shooting sports. She appreciates the outdoors and various forms of wildlife on their property and in the valley along Barshinger Creek.

Dustin Werner

Treasurer
A native of York County, Dustin is a West York Alum and Red Lion resident. Dustin splits his time between his inamorata Stormi, and their 7 children. A Baltimore City firefighter, Maryland State emergency management team member, and small business owner, organization is his passion and love for the Earth is what drives him to sit on the board of the BCPA. As the treasurer, Dustin pulls from his past experience treasuring multiple local bipartisan political campaigns. In his spare time, he practices Brazilian Ju-Jitsu, mycology, and the art of baldness.

Jennifer Dettinger

Secretary
Jen is a RLASD graduate and has lived in Red Lion for most of her life. She enjoys hiking and traveling with her husband and 3 kids, especially to national parks. Prior to her current role, Jen owned and operated a green cleaning business for 13 years. Jen now uses her organizational, business management, and customer service skills as Office Manager for a local floor cleaning company. Jen nurtures a love for and broad knowledge of native flora and natural gardening, and enjoys sharing this passion in giving back to her community. As a member of the Red Lion Economic Development Commission, she recently planned and installed a pollinator garden at a borough park. Jen also serves on the Red Lion Recreation Commission. In her free time, you can find her observing the biodiversity of her yard, taking classes on plants, or reading...about plants.

Lance Grove

Treasurer Auditor
Lance​ is the third generation of his paternal family born and raised in Red Lion. Both of his parents' surnames were “Grove,” and both emigrated to southeastern York County in the mid-1700s. Lance grew up and spent a lot of time with friends in Barshinger Creek, and the surrounding watershed and woods from as young as six years old. This, among other childhood experiences, inspired his passion for helping people, as well as the environment we all live in. Lance's adult life journey took him from volunteer EMT to professional, paid paramedic, and later, information analyst and system quality engineer for York Hospital for 26 years. Lance received his BS in Information Systems at Stevenson University, and worked in oncology research at Catholic Health Initiatives in Baltimore for 8 years before retiring in 2016. Lance is very active in the Red Lion International Lion’s Club, York Toastmasters, York Penn State OLLI program, and nurtures many other hobbies and passions, especially local and family histories. He has had a very blessed life and hopes to give back what he can while he is still able.

Dan Dellinger

Director
Dan resides in Red Lion with his wife and two boys. There is never a dull moment with sports and the outdoors keeping the family busy. Dan has been teaching science at Red Lion Junior High School since 2011, and enjoys getting students hands on experiences at Barshinger Creek with wetland explorations, native plant searches, and stream studies. He continuously strives to reduce the lawn at their home, creating habitat for wildlife by swapping ornamental plants for native alternatives, and increasing biodiversity through the two rain gardens installed on the property. Dan enjoys fly fishing, hunting, being outdoors, and volunteering in the community through coaching his boys' sports teams, and on the Board of Directors at Muddy Creek Trout Unlimited Chapter 575.

LuAnn Hildebrand

Director
LuAnn is a lifelong resident of Red Lion and a graduate of Red Lion High School. She earned a degree in Medical Technology/Chemistry from York College of Pennsylvania which led to a 42 year career with the laboratory at York Hospital, holding positions ranging from bench technologist through team management. After her retirement, LuAnn has pursued two goals: learn something new every day, and play outside.  LuAnn is detailed oriented, enjoys collaborating with motivated people and loves to share stories and experiences.  LuAnn has a “zillion” hobbies, but her friends currently call her “The Butterfly Lady,” since her current passion is raising monarch and black swallowtail butterflies for release into the wild.

Carrie Lankford

Director
Carrie is a transplant to York, PA. Having grown up across NY, PA, and NC, Carrie has had a variety of experiences that have shaped her love for the outdoors. Choosing an educational path that involved Elementary Education, Environmental Education, General Science, and Educational Leadership has allowed her to help children foster their own love for nature in the Red Lion Area SD since 2008. In 2020, Carrie took part in rewriting the PA science standards, with a strong emphasis on Environmental Literacy and Sustainability.  She continues that work across the region and the state. Alongside her husband, Carrie very much enjoys her other very important role as a mother of 3 enthusiastic, caring, and nature loving children.

Pam Loss

Director
Pam has been a resident  of Red Lion for over 60 years.  She is a 1976 graduate of Red Lion high school, and attended York College of Pennsylvania. Pam taught private flute lessons in her home for 40 years, and worked in the reading department at Red Lion for 17 years. She currently runs her own cleaning business. Pam's greatest joy is spending time with her six grandkids: three boys and three girls. She is passionate about nature and animals. She loves hiking and is also a talented nature photographer.

Pamella Rostek Kuwazaki

Director
Pamella brings over 25 years of expertise as a Designer and CADD Manager, specializing in civil engineering and land development. Her passion lies in designing forward-thinking solutions that balance client objectives, environmental stewardship, and community enrichment. Beyond her professional pursuits, Pamella enjoys exploring new experiences, such as traveling, learning, skydiving, dog training, stained glass artistry, and marathon running. She excels at problem-solving and values leisure time spent with her husband and two blue nose pitbulls.
